Last week, I had the honor of ministering to one of our families at a funeral. Today, I learned that one person who had attended the funeral has since tested positive for COVID-19.
In order to make sure I do not put any of you at risk, and I already contacted my doctor, but they haven’t got a response yet, but while waiting for my doctor’s advice, I am going to “self-quarantine” for two weeks and monitor my symptoms. I do not have any symptoms and I feel well, but I won’t take any chances with the health of our parish or community.
Unfortunately, this means I will not be able to celebrate Mass in person this weekend or for the next two weeks. I am very sorry that this is the case, and I hope you will join us via livestream.
Our diocese has notified the Solano County Health Department, and we will follow their guidance on notifying those who also may have been in contact with someone who later tested positive.
Please pray for the sick of our parish and all the sick in this time of pandemic.
