MISSION
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) has, from the beginning, been rooted in the following fundamental principles:
* SPIRITUALITY * FRIENDSHIP *SERVICE
“So just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.” St. James: 20-26
Inspired by Gospel values, the SVDP (Society), a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederick Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
The Society collaborates with other people to go good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.
Vicentians are inspired by the Holy Spirit to follow Jesus in doing good works for the least of our brethern. There are two categories of service in the Society:
